A Philly's Fan Wish Comes True
Eagles! Flyers! Phillies! Alexandra loves them all. Despite living in Alexandria, VA, Alexandra is a huge Philadelphia Sport team fan. She inherited this love of Philly sports from her mother and her whole family has bonded over this shared passion. Throughout her journey and treatment for leukemia, these teams brought her joy and distraction.
When considering her one true wish, she knew she wanted to celebrate the teams that brought her so much joy. She wished for a signed jersey from several of her favorite Philadelphia players. And the City of Brotherly Love delivered! The Philadelphia Phillies sent a signed jersey from first baseman Rhys Hoskins (#17). The Philadelphia Eagles sent a signed jersey from defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (#91) and former quarterback Donovan McNabb (#5). The Philadelphia Flyers sent winger Oskar Lindbloom's (#23) jersey. The 76ers sent a jersey from legendary guard Ben Simons (#25).
Alexandra was beaming on wish day as she was presented with this dream team collection of who's who in the Philadelphia sports. This year, Alexandra starts her freshman year at Villanova University. She plans to deck out her dorm room with her collection of signed jerseys to broadcast her fandom to campus.
